~I'm walking on sunshine! And don't it feel good!~

So i'm gonna try to keep this once in a blue update short and sweet, because I really should be sleeping now.

Thanksgiving really did come and go...but boy oh boy do I have a lot to be thankful for.

1-THIS IS IT. The first yellow brick has been laid. I have been accepted to Stony Brook University's Physician Asssistant Program, Class of 2008!!!! Oh man, I was jumping up and down where I stood. This is it, this is the rest of my life...In the next two years, I'll have a masters degree, earning at least $65,000 and making a difference in the lives of people. WOW. Mind Boggling. I'm soooo excited and happy about that. Can't wait. I gotta wild out as much as I can before July 1st! Anyone care to join me? hehe

2-CHRISTINE CASTRO, COME ON DOWN! Bally's Atlantic City had a live version of the PRICE IS RIGHT on the 25th. It's just like the televised show, just not televised. But anyways, they do all the same games, and they give away some cool prizes. So here i am all excited, cuz initially i thought it was the televised one, but it's really not haha...and I'm all blabbing about how I really wanted to be on the show yada yada. To be eligible as a contestant, you have to register and bid on two items, guessing the original price of the item in the year that the show it was on originally aired. So basically I had to guess the price of a Ford Tempo in 1993, and a bakers rack in 1984. wtf? lol I had no idea, so I gave it my best shot and bobbled on my way. Turns out, I guessed pretty good, cuz i got called down to be a contestant WOOHOO!. So i get up to the panel, and we have to bid on this women's watch by Seiko. I'm listening, no mention of gold in the description, and I'm thinking, eh...not so hot...gotta be around 80 bucks or so. I have a tendency to underbid, to I went with 90. Tell me why I got boo'd when I said 90 dollars? lol anyways. everyone else said like...200, 250, 199...and I'm thinking are they nuts it ain't that serious. Turns out the watch was 195, so i won! so i got up on stage and jumped up and down yada yada. I played the Clock Game, where you have 30 seconds to guess the price of two items. u know like...600 lower 500 lower 400 higher 450 lower ...you get the point. So in a matter of about 15 seconds, I got both of them...they were a grill and an air conditioner lol. So all in all I won those two things, and the watch, but being that i didn't need them, I opted for cash instead, and so...I walked in with 12 bucks...and walked out with....much more.  oh by the way the host was the guy from Shop til you Drop...JD Roberto I think. He's hunky. lol

3-FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD! Just had to say that thanksgiving was soo good. I've had the best food in the past week I know I definitely gained some weight. I had IHOP, SEA, Lychee Martinis, Turkey, Cheesecake from Junior's, some really good candied yam, and more good stuff lol...Pho Bang, Minado, Reuben sandwiches, Kettle chips...oh my god. Food is sooooooooo good.

4-Loving fam and friends- I am ever so thankful for my wonderful family, and to all my close friends,  you know who u are. luv you! And thanks for the laughs and partying. lol

5-FRANCISCO! Yeah, I'm thankful for him. lol. Sometimes a pain in the ass, but always a pleasure. Charming and loveable nonetheless. Mwah.

6-MY BED. It's calling me.

When I think of more, I'll mention it. lol. thank you for reading this! and hallelujah. I'm finally gonna get me one of those professional email addresses haha.

What a weekend. Queens, to Philly to Quakertown, to Atlantic City, to Brooklyn, to Rockland...poor Carmen did a thousand miles in just one week!

So here goes:

Wednesday-Went to a Breathe practice to check it out. Good stuff. Lots of potential to be really really good. I'm performing with them on the 28th woohoo . Shout outs to KT and the rest of Breathe. Glad to be a part of it. Feels really good to be dancing again. I plan to keep up with it, cuz God knows I won't be able to dance once I'm in school. So I'm gonna enjoy it while I can. Anyways...my body was sore for the rest of the weekend...

Thursday-Drove with mom to Philly in the rain and fog. It was a little difficult, got a little lost, but found it all together. My mom lost her umbrella in like the worst TGIFriday's ever. Oh well. Someone stole it.

Friday-Interview One at Drexel- Man, I'm a little sad about how much I liked Drexel. I went there thinking, hey I'll give it a shot, but I really wanna stay in New York. But meeting the ppl, and the thought of going to school in such a cool, diverse city...I'm really considering going there, if I get in, but it would really suck if I had to leave New York. There's no place like home. The interview went pretty well. They seemed to like me, and I did get a lot of the "good answer" head nods during the interview. So I left feeling really good and confident, but then again so did everyone else that got interviewed..So let me not get my hopes up.

~King of Prussia...Nice mall. Pretty. No tax (always a plus). How bout damn Pennsylvania...out of 999 numbers that are 3 digits or less, they had to choose 76, 276,476 and 676. I was lost for an hour and a half, because I had a run on each one of those 76's trying to get back home to Kat's (which is really nice by the way). Damn it. And I kept having to pay toll while I was lost. And it's not like New York, where if you miss an exit you just get off on the next one and turn around. No. First of all, each exit is like a jillion miles apart, and second of all, each exit is like..to a new highway...and you'll never see the old highway again. LoL. I felt bad for my mom, cuz she was stuck at Kat's place from like 9-5 while I was gone, and then we go shopping, and I got us lost for an hour and a half. Oopsie.

Saturday-Interview Two at Desales-Ok QUAKERTOWN. I swear as I was driving, I thought I was gonna see a twister form from the clouds and hit the corn fields. lol. The drive over there was like...the movie set for twister. I was ready to see a UFO come down and make a big crop circle. Man I really felt like I was in the middle of nowhere. and I was. The interview seemed to go pretty well there too. The first guy that interviewed me, who happened to be one of the main professors, was...dreadfully boring. I couldn't even crack a smile with that one. I was like...geez...smile the sun is out you old man! It was kind of an easy interview, because they really didn't ask me too many questions...they asked like a couple..and then all of a sudden they were telling me stuff about the school. I was like..umm great don't u wanna know more about me as a candidate?  eh i dunno. This school is ranked #1 in the nation on the boards scores. Probably cuz there's nothing else to do but either quake or study haha. jk. Good school, but I dunno bout that area. It's too...flat for me. We'll see.

~Atlantic City-So since my mom was a prisoner in Kat's apt for 2 days straight, I decided I owed it to her to take her to AC, since she was hot to play. I was like ok fine, i'll just sleep in the hotel room since I have  no money. Well lucky lucky me! My mom gave me 20 bucks that morning, that i didn't use, so i decided to play a little bit on the nickel slots...I ended up with $47, so I gave my mom 20 back, and just kept the winnings of 27 bucks for my movie date with my Francis. (We're back together by the way )   So then my mom plays some more, wins a little and gives me $57 bucks..I felt bad taking it but she insisted I have it, so I said, "Ok..well..let me play a little more." And this time...I went BIG. I went over to the DOLLAR SLOTS. and let me tell you DOLLARS IS THE NEW BLACK. I went and bet the max, on a classic triple 7 slot machine. 3 bucks each bet. So I did, and first I won 30 bucks. I played a little more, won another 30...in the end my $57 became $96! I was like "oh hell i'm stopping right now"...got all excited...then after a few minutes...i said ok maybe i'll just play a little more...and lo and behold!...I hit the triple blue 777 and that gave me $150!!!  <---that was my face lol. I was soooooo happy cuz seriously I NEVER WIN. EVER. I have TERRIBLE luck usually. So I was really happy. So my 57 bucks ended up being $240 in the end. I tried to win a little more, and lost 20 but hey...shit. 220 is still enough to yell and scream about for me lol. Woohoo!

Sunday-A day of Herbing.-So Sunday, woke up, left AC by 12 (missed free brunch with mom) so that I could get to Bk to give Kat her keys back, and get to Rockland on time for my date with Francis, which would be on me thanks to my winnings. All went well with Brooklyn, and so I was ready to leave to meet Francis in Rockland by 5. Then Francis decides to push it back to 5:30...but then I get herbed cuz he didn't show up til 6. Great.  If i had known we would meet at 6, I woulda had me some eggs and bacon care of my mama. Damn it francis...that was herbing number one. So then we shop around a bit...I buy an ipod Itrip...and I buy him two shirts from Express with my winnings...Then we go to Stir Crazy and have some bomb food. It was soooo good. Anyways. Francis drags me to see Elizabethtown, and again, the loving person I am, I pay for the tickets using the money I won. Very WHACK movie=herbing number two. Then at the end of the night, Francis asks if I was gonna stick around for a while, I say yes. and As I get into my car, he says, 'you know what..i'm kinda tired...I don't think u should come over.' I say ok. It's ok to get herbed by ur boyfriend once in a while. He said he wanted to get as much sleep as possible. (This was all at like 12am) I drive back to long island, call him when i get home cuz he told me to...and guess who's still awake at 2am. That's right....Herbing numero Tres, mis amigos.

All in all, it was a loooong drawn out weekend. But I had a good time. Even though i was herbed multiple times. It was still a good weekend.
